Why theatre? Theatre provides a reprieve from our mundane lives so we might be inspired, encouraged and challenged.  Theatre ignites our imagination, rouses our emotional, intellectual and sensory awareness and permits us to freely step out of ourselves. Theatre invites people to a communal place where story, character and theme are shared and explored. Theatre is an experience that is unique to each and every performance. Theatre entertains and refreshes. Theatre gives life and theatre gives meaning. Theatre is the process by which we imagine, engage and share.

Since our humble beginnings in the upstairs youth room of the Eben-Ezer Mennonite Church 20 years ago, Gallery 7 Theatre has endeavored to share stories that stimulate the mind, stir the heart, and elevate the soul. We are thrilled to honor this incredible mile stone with a season long celebration featuring a full slate of plays that are sure to entertain and provoke thought.

We begin with Peter Pan, a play that celebrates imagination and adventure, the very essence of good theatre. Our season continues with Tuesdays with Morrie, a humorous and touching play that celebrates those who have made a difference in our lives. In March, we remount Quiet in the Land, a play that takes us back to our roots as a faith-based theatre. We wrap the season up with the hilarious farce, The Matchmaker, the very first play I remember seeing as a child and an experience I believe in part inspired my life-long passion for theatre.

Of course, no season at Gallery 7 Theatre would be complete without the hilarious tomfoolery of Panic Squad and Friends, returning this fall to regale us with their unique brand of comedy improv.

I invite you to join us for this entertaining 20th anniversary celebration of theatre. We`re working on making the season extra special by including a workshop series and a special Tuesday Night Talk program featuring music and guest speakers to help us better understand the role of theatre in our community.

Imagine. Engage. Share. See you at the theatre!
