Overview - 2010 "Imagine" Gala
Gallery 7 Theatre is holding its second annual fundraiser gala dinner on Saturday, May 1, 2010. The Imagine Gala will be an evening of great food and entertainment and an opportunity to make a significant contribution to Abbotsford's only full-time community theatre.
An amazing dinner will be prepared by award-winning chef, Michael Dicks, owner of Culinary Touch Catering and Q Steakhouse Restaurant, who is passionate about food and promises to delight us with his culinary creations.
Harpist, Helen Siemens, will provide music throughout the dinner. Throughout the ages, harp music has delighted and inspired people all over the world. Helen continues this tradition through her harp and other strings instruments.
Our venue will be transformed in to a truly magical environment, courtesy of the design talents of Genny Loewen of Dream Day Designs.
Roving actors in character from previous shows will entertain guests before dinner begins. And since this fundraiser benefits our theatre, what better than to have an opportunity to tour backstage before being treated to a special performance of Canadian playwright Daniel MacIvor's This is a Play, a hilarious one-act play about what might actually be going on in the actor's mind during a performance.
You'll also have an opportunity to bid on silent acution items, hear testimonials from actors and others who volunteer with the theatre and learn more about how you can make a difference. Our dream is to have a fully independent theatre space that is the theatrical hub of the Fraser Valley. Last year's inaugural gala was a smash success with more than 100 people attending and rasing over $6,000.00 for Gallery 7 Theatre. Guests were both entertained and inspired. We believe the same will happen this year.
Tickets are $50/person, $350 for a table.
