We’re back! And not a moment too soon! It’s been a challenging year for all of us: we’ve experienced loss, isolation and rapid and often sudden change. For us as a theatre, we faced closure, a dynamic and demanding financial situation, and a hard pivot to digital production.

It’s been a tiring and difficult time, but not without its bright spots. Through the past year, we’ve been reminded of our understanding & faithful sponsors, our dedicated patrons, our committed artists and technicians, our amazingly generous donors and how important arts and culture is to our community. We also had the chance to continue our work in developing new work by local playwrights. Through it all, we have felt so incredibly affirmed and supported. Thank you!

It’s time to turn the page, though, and focus our attention on recovery, healing, and re-engaging with the ones and things we love most. For us, that’s in-person live theatre that entertains, provokes thought, and shines a light in a too often dark world.

In that spirit, we’re very excited to celebrate the return of in-person theatre with our thrilling 2021-2022 ‘Engage’ Season. For this recovery year, we have selected a series of entertaining and thought-provoking shows that will inspire, encourage and challenge, while allowing us to navigate lingering COVID restrictions and protocols. We think you will delight in these stories that promise to bring healing and joy to our community as we move out of the pandemic.

This year’s playbill features many of the shows we’ve been desperately wanting to produce but have never found the right time to do so. This coming season, with its lingering uncertainty and need to be flexible, presented us the perfect opportunity. This season also allows us the opportunity to FINALLY present one of our postponed shows from 2019/2020: Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery . These stories exemplify the very heart and soul our mandate as a theatre: to explore the spiritual, relational and social aspects of the human experience with a vision towards hope, reconciliation and redemption.

We think you’re going to love these shows as much as we do.

Engage with us as we engage with you through a unique year of intimate, yet highly entertaining theatre for the heart, soul and mind. Consider subscribing to the entire season. Consider adding a donation in support of our summer “Raise the Curtain” campaign. Consider inviting a friend. Consider bringing the family. Consider engaging with live theatre...again.

We’re back, and we look forward to seeing you back too!

    Executive/Artistic Director

P.S. What about The Secret Garden you ask? We’re very pleased to announce that this powerful and uplifting musical is scheduled for a Fall, 2022 run at the Abbotsford Arts Centre. The production will be part of our official ‘30th but Technically 32nd Anniversary Celebration Season’. Details to come shortly!
