Roll up the sleeves and dive into all things technical theatre with this hands-on, practical camp!
Facilitated by G7 production manager, Shannon Tauber, with contributions from expert artists in their fields, topics will include production management, stage management, set design, costume design and much more! Using a pre-selected one-act play as a foundation, participants will solve design challenges in practical ways.
If you’ve ever wanted to know how a costume comes together, a set model is built, a lighting plot designed, or how a production schedule is created, this is your chance to learn!

Shannon is G7's production manager and a graduate of Douglas College’s Theatre program and of Dalhousie's Costume Studies Intensive. They are excited to help continue bringing excellent and engaging theatre to the people of the Fraser Valley, while championing Gallery 7 Theatre’s vision of being a safe, inspirational, and inclusive place for all.

You'll work from a pre-selected one-act play instead of abstract exercises. Every design choice has to serve the actual story, schedule, and budget.
Four crafts, four pros
Set, costume, lighting, and stage management. Each area is supported by a working artist in that discipline, alongside G7's production manager.
Tools, not theory
Build a set model. Sketch a lighting plot. Draft a production schedule. Hands on the work, not just the vocabulary.
